UNIQLO x Jil Sander - +J Spring/Summer 2010 | Collection Preview

There’s a good reason why clean, minimal, suave is a timeless look. The highly anticipated Jil Sander x UNIQLO collaboration which debuted this season had received tremendously wonderful response (slim-fitted button downs, trenches and voluminous puffer sporting exaggerated collars were flying out of UNIQLO’s SoHo flagship) and the beloved collection is coming back again for all in Spring/Summer 2010. Continuing to adopt pure tailoring and avant-garde textiles into contemporary silhouettes, the upcoming +J collection operates on three easy concepts - iconic simplicity, natural nobility, and clarity and lightness. The collection still pursues Jil Sander’s androgynous aesthetics, bridging feminine and masculine with functional elegance and softly articulated distinguished shapes via twists on classic items such as trench coats with a a placket mimicking those on button downs, structured blazers and jackets. The general design direction doesn’t veer far from the Fall/Winter 2009 collection, and proves to be a solid collection operating on a tried, true and loved line-up that will stand strong through seasons and ephemeral trends. images via: SelectismRead the rest of: UNIQLO x Jil Sander - +J Spring/Summer 2010 | Collection Preview
